Buffer (DVBlink for IPTV)

I've added an IPTV source and it plays channels fine but my broadband isn't great and when watching HD channels I get buffering issues. Is there a way to get dvblink to buffer for X number of seconds before the stream is displayed to the clients? Is there a way to control this?

OK so I've hit a slight issue with this. I enabled the buffer option and that's working on the web client and dvblink player. I set it to 5 seconds.

But when trying to use this value Kodi17 and the dvblink and kodi player gives up before the buffering is finished. I tried to increase the timeout value in the kodi play options but it didnt work.

Any tips?

Try setting it to zero and see what happens

For IPTV you only need a minimum download speed around 10-15Mbit, because most IPTV providers broadcast their channels in low bitrates, with average of 2-5Mbit for most of their channels.

There is only one IPTV provider that I know of, that has 10-12 Mbit channels (only around 37 channbels yet), and they just started implementing that in their channel packages.

Maybe I misunderstood what the buffer function does. And yes my link is only 11Mbps. What I was trying to achieve was, dvblink would start the steam and buffer it locally for X number of seconds before starting the stream to the kodi client.

But when I monitor using the diagnostic section I don't any traffic starting to flow until the timer is reached.
