After careful investigation it appeared that issue is on our side - in the addon's code. We will do the fix today and make a pull request. However it is difficult to say if it will make it into the final Kodi.
If it will not, we will patch the server to avoid the condition that causes addon to crash.

We have created a pull request:
https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-addons/pull/391

Let's hope it will make its way into the Helix final (this is a crash fix and should, in theory, be taken into the main Kodi build asap).

A user on the german WMC community maybe have found a workaround.

He had no crashes until he delete his "advancedsettings.xml". After he delete it in his userdata folder, he gets the same crashes as we. In his advancedsettings.xml is the following:

Code: Select all
<advancedsettings>
  <network>
    <buffermode>3</buffermode>
    <cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
  </network>

  <pvr>
    <minvideocachelevel>5</minvideocachelevel>
  </pvr>
</advancedsettings>

I have no possibility to test this workaround at this time because I'm at work.

Update:

I'd now tested the workaround with the advancedsettings.xml and it works for me!! :)

As it looks now the fix was accepted into the main PVR addons github project and should make its way to the final Kodi v14 eventually.
