First Windows Server 2008 problems, now EPG Problems

Postby Tripwire » Wed May 02, 2012 8:34 pm

Hi Guys,

I installed DVBLink 4.01 on my freshly installed windows server 2008 R2 SP1. All components are installed correctly. I restarted my server (just to be sure), but i can't access the configuration page. Whenever i click on the link in the start menu i get the error:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

EDIT:

Check below for the EPG problems i have.

Any help?

Can you confirm that the DVBLink Service is running ? how man NIC's are in your Server ?

Its probably a good idea to zip up your Server Log and attach it here 8)

Also you could run 'netstat -nabo' from an elevated command prompt and post the results.

Hi,

I found out that the service is not running and i can't start it manually. When i try to start it manually by double clicking on the dvblink_server i get the error:
This application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002). Click OK to close the application.
I got 2 NIC's in my server (1 for internet and 1 for IPTV).
Where can i find my Server Log?

EDIT:

Fixed it was missing some c++ redists:

You should start/stop/restart the dvblink Server via Services

or

Thx!

I've got it all working except for the EPG (watching IPTV as we speak). I got a grabber which is creating an XML file. I added that file to the folder in programData\DVBLogic\DVBlink\EPG.Xml. When i check the sources on the configuration page, the xmltv is checked and the status is signed with the checkmark.
But when i go to the channels tab, then to EPG Sources, i can chose the epg.xml file. But i can't add the epg information to the right channel because there are nog channels to select in the right. Check the screenshot below.

So how do i get the channels to show up in the right window?

Have you selected the channels you wish to use and moved them into the right hand pane on the Channel selection tab?

If you have already done this, one of the Devs or someone with experience of using the IPTV source will be able to help you further :D

Yes, all the channels from the 4 tuners are in the Selected Channels tab And all the channels are merged.

EDIT:

And now magically they show up :O only thing i changed was the name of one channel (Al Jazeera to AlJazeera). Weird!

Odd! Pleased its working for you though, perhaps take a backup of the Dvblink Server configuration using the built in feature, then reboot the server to check your configuration is saving correctly seeing as you have experienced this weird behaviour
