I have a PCTV nanoStick T2 290e tuner. It is a USB-stick that is capable of receiving DVB-T2 transmissions. I have used it together with DVBLink TVSource 3.2.2 for a long time now. All works well, expect that it takes more than 30 seconds to tune to a channel the first time after the system has been idle. This results in a timeout in Windows Media Center.
I have described this in an older post: http://www.dvblogic.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=14300
Now I am investigating a move to DVBLink 4.x, and I would like to share some results with the community.
First I tried DVBLink TVSource 4.1.0 and amazingly the "first tune time" was only a few seconds! Great!
Then I tried DVBLink TVSource 4.1.1, and the slow tuning was back...
I guess this behaviour is controlled by the bda.dev file. Based on its size it looks like a lot has happened in it between 3.2.2 and 4.1.0.
Could DVBLogic please investigate the changes that were performed to this file between 4.1.0 and 4.1.1? It would be great if the tune time for this tuner could be as good in future releases as they were in 4.1.0.
