I've been using DVBLogic 3.2 for a while now. I've tried to upgrade to every possible version of v4 a couple of times already, but for some reason on my Windows 2008 R2 SP1 x64 server with the BDA drivers added to it, v4.x only produces heavy stuttering images while 3.2 works perfectly fine. When I install v4 on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine with the same Terratec H5 USB DVB-C drivers, it works fine.
I just tried installing v4.1.1 again on my Windows 2008 server and failed again, same problem. In the meantime I upgraded one of my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CLIENTS to the v4 network client pack. After installing it and setting the DVBLogic client tool to the right server address, I tried configuring Windows Media Center using the usual Setup live TV link. At the end of the wizard, Windows Media Center reports "TV Setup Cannot Continue": "TV Setup has encountered a serious problem. Select Finish to exit, then try again. If this problem persists, restart Windows Media Center or the computer."
I've tried restarting WMC, the whole PC, restarting the WMC services, DVBLogic service, uninstalling the emulated DVLogic tuners from device management, removing the DVBLogic OEM inf driver files from c:\windows\inf, nothing works. Now I've gone back to v3.2 server-side, I tried uninstalling the v4 network client on my W7 Ult x64 client and reinstalling the v3.2 client. Same error at the end of the wizard with the v3.2 network client now. This worked fine before upgrading to v4. On another Win7 Ult x64 machine, going back and forth between v3.2 and v4.x network clients works fine though. Nothing is being logged in the event viewer.
I'm totally lost what else I can try or where to look what the actual problem is. Anyone has any ideas?
