Long loading times for recordings ...

Postby NRWler04 » Sun Dec 04, 2016 10:38 pm

I have a new HomeServer with a XEON D-1541 Motherboard. So far my experience is quite good ... very fast response with 8 real cores ...

My problem is, that the dvb-link DLNA-Server seems to work quite slowly. Searching for recordings is very slow. Also playing the recordings needs long loading time.

Normally the XEON D-1541 is quite fast. I'm running Windows Essentials Server 2016 with 32GB RAM, a Samsung nvme 950 Pro ssd for OS and a pool of 4 8TB HDD's in parity mode for my video & tv recordings.

Twonky is responding quite well with native Blue Ray Streamed videos. Much better then DVB-Link DLNA.

Does dvb-link support the 8 cores of the XEON D-1541? Or where is the problem?

Best regards

Ingo

I do not think so.
Just in case you may repair the recorder database:
