Client suggestion (Raspberry vs Apple TV)

Postby emanuelj » Sun Jul 03, 2016 11:47 pm

Choosing between Raspberry Pi 3 with Kodi or Apple TV 4 as client on a second TV (running MCE on the main TV).
What do you prefer?

Is refrash rate change (50Hz) implemented in the Apple TV app?
Subtiles works?
Fast Chanel switch?

I think a Raspi with Kodi is the better choice. There is working 50Hz switch and implemented Timeshift. Both is missing in the tvOS app

Anymore inputs on the ATV4 client? Is it stable enough for regular viewing?

It is a quite stable - but also it is a quite new app, so it lacks of some major features. But, i guess with the new updates the app will become more functional.
