DVB client configuration

Windows MediaCenter as a DVBLink client

DVB client configuration

Postby maximus » Fri May 12, 2017 11:46 pm

In the past if one used Win MCE on a seperate pc to the dvblink server, i beleive it was required to run the DVB client configuration program to connect the clients to the server address

is that still required with DVBlink v6

i upgraded recently to support oberon but it seems that not much information is still relevant, i get that most people are moving away from MCE as microsoft never continued it in win 10 but fro a dedicated HTPC its live tv recording and handling is better than most other options still to this day.

understand and agree one still needs DVBlink installed on teh WMC machine, without this software the tuners would not be availble in WMC.
seperately i'm trying to confirm if the specific software element called "DVBlink client configuration"is still required ?
i beleive this became part of the install process back in DVBlink 4.5 days as some sort of "run once"sync up.
however am not sure if with DVBlink 5.5 or 6 wether this is still required ?
