black screen

Windows MediaCenter as a DVBLink client

black screen

Postby PeterHer » Thu May 21, 2015 9:35 am

Hi All,

For a couple of weeks everything worked just fine but now I have this issue:
All pay channels are just working fine except two.
Selecting one of these two pay channels (one tuner used) the screen is black.
But if I select another channel, working (on one tuner) before the pay channel (second tuner) everything is fine.
This only works for one of the two not working channels. Not for the second pay channel. Then the images remains black.
I have I full subscription for both pay channels.

I have/use:
Windows 7 64 bit ultimate (using Media Center)
HD Homerun HDHR3-4DC firmware 20150406
DVBLink Server 5.1.0 (11030)
DVBLink Connect Server 5.1.0 (11207)
DVBLink TVSource 5.1.0 (11400)
NewCS 1.65 and ACamd 6.20

I hope someone will find the solution for this problem.

Kind regards,
Peter

First of all, please, make update of DVBLink server , the latest build is 11207.
Please, set log level to info, restart dvblink server, reproduce the issue and attach zipped log file here.
Also sometimes this issue happens because of changing channel frequency or so, by provider. You can try to do rescan.
And one more tip - try to use another DVBLink client to eliminate MC issue.

I removed the old version en installed the new one of DVBLink Server.
Now on the Source tab I have only a EPG Sources tab, nothing else.
I cannot see any previous added source or add a new one.

Have not you forgotten to install TV Source?

One problem solved.
I did a repair for the BVDLink TVSource. Now I can add tuners.

TV Source issue and Connect server issue make me think that something has gone wrong while installation.

Better way to make new, Fresh installation.
- Stop dvblink server
- delete dvblink server
- reboot the system
- delete dvblink folder on hard drive (do not forget to make all needed backups)
- instal new fresh dvblink server

Unfortunately problem still exists.
Select another channel, working (on one tuner) before the pay channel (second tuner) doesn't work anymore.

With regard your log files all looks good. You say that all worked great, without any updates, or so, in system ( ? ) and suddenly two channels have started work with black screen. Most probably some issue directly in plugins or because of some provider changing.

It all worked well on three computers.
But not anymore. The problem began with HBO3 (both HD and SD) on all three computers.
A couple of days later I had the same issue with Discovery, but here alone with the HD channel. SD works fine.
With these problems, when changing the channel on WMC to one of these channels (HBO3 or Discovery), NewCS shows the right information (valid card).
But sometimes WMC shows an Update PlayReady error (not able to update).

With a Humax receiver (DVB-C, Ziggo certified) everything is fine.I also swapped the smartcards to make sure that the card was right.
Maybe a bug in the ACamd plugin. Not sure if my tv provider has changed something in the decoding.
Is there something more I can do to help you? Maybe setting log info to Extended?

To eliminate some of the potential issues, you can do next steps:
- try to use another dvblink client (web-client, mobile ...)
- try to make rescan of TV Sources
- check out configurations of ACamd plugin

Probably it is the same issue as discussed here:
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=29638

I wonder if Ziggo has changed something in the last several weeks, which breaks acamd functionality?..

I tried another dvblink client (windows 7 pro 32 bit uk, and windows 7 Ult 64 bit uk).
Problem with both computers. A rescan of TV sources was also not successful.
Maybe you are right that this is a ACamd problem.
I am not sure how to use/debug ACamd. I will see if I can find some more info on the web.

Thanks.

Have you looked to link below, @Oberons posted?
There is some workaround for this issue.
