Connecting to local host / configuration page

Postby lamby7 » Wed Sep 10, 2014 9:20 pm

Hi can anyone help me, up until a week ago (about the time a changes to a full subscription) my WMC setup on windows 8.1 was working fine. Over the coarse of the last week I've been finding it harder and harder to watch tv and connect to local host. Sometimes WMC cannot find tuners or tuner conflicts or parental control crashes. If I try to connect to local host the page cannot be displayed. If I restart windows 2-3 times it usually work up until now where it doesn't work at all.
I did a reinstall of the sever and could connect to local host configuration page but as soon as I loaded up my old data it crashed and I cannot connect again.
Sorry not sure how to get a log file ...... Can I get 1 if I cannot connect to the configuration page?
Thanks
Chris

You can get the log files, they are on the path C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBLogic\DVBLink (*.log - all log file)

...but as soon as I loaded up my old data it crashed and I cannot connect again...

But also need your backup file - most likely it is corrupted.
NETGEAR RNDU2000; Synology DS112j, DS 212j, DS213+, DS 712+; Western Digital WD ex2; Asustor AS3, RPI2 ...
PCTV 460,461e,292e; TT 4400, 4650CI;DVBSKy S960; DD octopus net; Inverto sat2ip multibox; TBS DVB-C ...

Please re-apply update of the DVBLink Server using dvblink_server_update.bat file. This should solve your issue. If it will not help, you would need to delete and re-create MC Guide Services source.

hi ive installed the update again that I origionally had, no change is there a new one? Ive deleted the file mc guide sevice from D:\Program Files (x86)\DVBLogic\DVBLink\sources is that correct? if its something I have to do on configuration page the most I can get is to is the products page as soon as I try to change it freezes up.

5 computer restarts to get tv working with no mc guide services installed at all. On configuration page changed page twice crashed tv still working as I've kept it on if I turn it off I'll have to restart pc multiple times again. Any more ideas? It's not a faulty registration or something as it only happened when I up registered in full?

Is there anyone that can help me please?
I've uninstalled deleted everything and reinstalled and the dvblink configuration page loads up fine I can change to any section fine......... But as soon as it try to install or activate my tv source it crashes that's before I've loaded any backups or channels or anything else. I have to then restart my pc various times to get back on to the page before it crashes again??
Is it a corrupt subscription or something?

There is something wrong with your DVBLink installation. Some files have messed up, probably with the earlier installation files.
I advise you to make a backup of your DVBLink server, uninstall it, reboot, delete old installation folder, install DVBLink again and restore backup. Then it should start working properly.

Hi thanks for the reply but I've done all that uninstalled, deleted the folder , reinstalled and done the update then restarted . Like I said I can get on the configuration page but a soon as it install the tvsource and try to activate it crashes? I've done this multiple times. Can you reset my trial period and I'll try using it like that as this is the only time it's worked .
Thanks

I've managed to get my sever a bit more stable, still crashes me out if I change the configuration page too much.
the problem I now have is that tv guide listings don't seen to fully load in correctly (a lot are missing), don't no if this is what still causes my crashes or not, or if I've messed something up. can someone check my backup and log out for me please?
thanks
