LiveTv via Raspberry Pi 2

Postby Silence » Thu Oct 22, 2015 2:31 pm

Hello,

I have a i3 as my central TV server right now running with HDHomeRun and Digital Devices DVB-S2(With Acamd) so I can watch all my channels in all rooms.

I was thinking of changing my i3 with the RP2 as a Central TV server, but I am unsure if the CPU is able to handle this? As in if I watch live-tv in two rooms (Mostly SD), will this be able to handle it?

Moreover, i use RPI2 as dvblink server and as dvblink client.

Hi
What OS and client software have you installed on your PI2?
Thanks

RPI2 with Openelec (always the latest version), DVBLink server with TVSource (TVButler and sat2ip tuner as tv sources), DVBLink PVR Add-on for Kodi (pre-installed from the box) as a client, power supply for RPI2 - it is powered USB input at the Sony TV (sometimes better to use external power supply, RPI2 is a quite sensitive for it ) and connected via HDMI.
PS. There is available full functional trial version for dvblink packages , so for needed tests use it.
