The server has died twice today!

Postby adder » Thu Mar 19, 2015 1:59 pm

Ok this has been running fine for over a week then the dvblink_server has stopped twice today
This is a PI 2 running openelec 5.0.5
Found these entries in the server log
2015-Mar-19 11:30:41: [E] sink_base::sink_base(): Sink "pbda". Control DLL name was not found
2015-Mar-19 11:30:41: [E] sink_manager::load_mod(): module "pbda" not loaded
2015-Mar-19 12:44:27: [E] Error. Received SIGSEGV: Segmentation Violation.

Only thing that has changed is I added a couple of recordings...

Please update your dvblink server and all installed packages. http://dvblogic.com/en/news/78-new-dvbl ... 2-support/
Then set log level to info, restart dvblink server and when the issue is played back attach zipped log files here.
What tuner are you using?

Hi

I have a similar problem running on Rapsberry Pi 2 with OPENELEC V. 5.0.4. Approximately every 2-3 days the DVBLogic Server/TV Source freezes for no reason and only solution so far has been to SSH into OPENELEC and issue a reboot command (only the DVBLogic system seems to be dead however).

I have DVBLink Server version 5.1.0 build 11218 & DVBLink TVSource 5.1.0 build 11373 installed. I am using a Terratec Cinergy T-Stick Dual Rev.2 USB receiver attached to one of the USB ports on the Raspberry Pi 2. Besides above issue the system runs just fine.

Does any one have suggestion for a solution since this is quite an annoying problem.

I have tried to attach a log from the latest incident but the I get a "The extension log is not allowed" error. The last few lines in the dvblink_server.log however says this:

2015-May-04 06:13:52: [I] source_control_container::playback_get_objects: source 4e9e47d6-4b3c-4ea7-b148-537821d50b94 request

Be great if i will be able to look at full log file from dvblink server.So set log level to info restart dvblink server, wait 20 minutes and attach zipped log file here.
Also sametimes this kind of issue happends becase of USB, i mean because of weak power in usb port. If you have external USB HUB with additional power suply, please try to work with this one.
NETGEAR RNDU2000; Synology DS112j, DS 212j, DS213+, DS 712+; Western Digital WD ex2; Asustor AS3, RPI2 ...
PCTV 460,461e,292e; TT 4400, 4650CI;DVBSKy S960; DD octopus net; Inverto sat2ip multibox; TBS DVB-C ...

Thanks for quick reply.

I have attached the log file (zipped) with settings set to extended info.

I will try use a powered USB hub and report back the results.
