DVBLink on QNAP TS-453A ?

Hi,

I'm about to purchase a TS-453A NAS and would like to know if it's supported by DVBLink, because I want to buy also the TvButler dongle.

I would recommend you to have a look on one of the the Synology X86_64 based NASes. More reliable as for me.
But the DVBLink server with the TVButler should work as well on the QNAP TS-453A with the installation file for the "TS-453 (mini/Pro/S/U/RP)"

I own also a Synology DS112 and indeed I has zero problems in 4 years of use but the features offered by QNAP 453A made me choose it over the 415Play NAS.
I wanted a solution to what TV over the Internet, I found DVBLink and realized that I also need to upgrade my NAS if I want real-time transcoding. I was keen on Synology but after reading more I chose QNAP TS-453A for it's more powerful hardware and extended features.
As of now I installed DVBLink Server on QNAP using the package for 453PRO/U/I, seems to work (I mean server started and I can access it), tomorrow I will order the TvButler and hopefully I will get it relatively quick (as I understand it will be shipped through PostNL and here in Romania public post service is kinda worse...)

Indeed the interface seems a little clumsy and not so polished as Synology but let's hope it's gonna get better.

Hybrid Station over the HDMI port is excellent for me, I already replaced my WD Live Media Player, Kodi is a great player !

Ive used both and i dont see a big difference in the interface. Once everything is running you barely ever enter the webinterface anyway.
