'Device is not present' after update to ADM 2.5.3.RE23

Hello,

I have just updated my Asustor AS-5102T NAS to ADM 2.5.3.RE23 and now I have found that the TV Server is not recognizing my DVB-T source ( PCTV 461e ). Under Settings - TV Sources it just has 'Device is not present'.

I deinstalled dvblink and reinstall it new, but it did't work.

we are waiting for the DVBLogic team to get a copy of the GPL Kernel so that they can recompile the device drivers...

Unfortunately, it may take several weeks before we can rebuild and then test all drivers.

Simple solution is to revert back to the previous firmware. Not sure if this is possible on the current release though.

Asustor writes (http://www.asustor.com/service/release_note?id=5):

ADM 2.5.3.RE23
2016-02-02
Installation Notes

This is the software for AS50xx/AS51xx series. No matter if you decide to upgrade ADM or not, it is still recommended that you should back up all data on your NAS.
Since the file structure in the ADM 2.5 has been modified, you will not be able to roll back to a previous version of ADM after upgrading.
When performing a system migration from a newer version of ADM to an older version of ADM, please be sure to upgrade the destination NAS with latest version of ADM after system migration completes.

I think I have found a work-around.

Install Media-pack App (from Asustor)
then make a backup of
/volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/dvblink-server/bin/lib/ko

Now do the following via ssh

Code: Select all
cp -rf /volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/media-pack/drivers/* /volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/dvblink-server/bin/lib/ko/

Essentially, copy the Drivers from media-pack App over to dvblink.
Appears to have worked for me...

DVBlogic support has a solution:

Hi ...,
Please, try to make an update of TVSource or make a repair of it. Then reboot the NAS and go to the Sources tab. (Results ?)
There was a new built for TVSource for ADM2.5.3

Kind regards,
DVBlogic support team
