Total Loss of Programs

Postby CinemaPete » Mon Dec 07, 2015 3:55 pm

Asustor NAS AS5010T, version 2.5.1 RB62, bios 1.37,
DBLink Server version 5.5.0 build 12217.
TVSource version 5.5.0 build 12217,
HD Homerun Connect model HDHR4-2US

For the last two weeks TVSource has been slowly loosing its channel guide info and channels, and as of this morning all channels display the attached message when clicking on any channel.

NOTE: The HD Homerun Connect also can be accessed by a Windows 7 PC running Windows Media Center as well as the HDHomerun View application: Both Windows Media Center and HDHomerun View have no issue with viewing programs - so this is NOT a source issue rather it's clearly an TVSource related issue.

I've never had to much trouble with an application.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Please, set log level to info, restart dvblink server, wait up to 20 minutes and attach zipped log files here.

Thanks the_man:

The download of the "log" is a ZIP file with more than one 'log" file in it, so I have attached the entire ZIP with all the logs rather than you have to ask for some other log file.

I also noticed that on the Sources screen it indicates "Device is not present" for both tuners; this would of course explain the loss of channels but for some reason, the HDHome Run Connect is no longer being detected.

Thanks! 8)

Really, not so good log files.
Lets try to repair all:
- make a reapir of dlrecorder.db file. "How to" look for here:
http://dvblogic.com/wiki/index.php/How_ ... er.db_file
Or upload it to any filesharing, give me a link and i will do it for you.

- do an update of dvblink server once more
- do repair of TV Source
- be sure that no one else does not use the HDHR, and try to play the channels

Hi the_man:

Thanks for your assistance.

I think I will uninstall everything, reboot the NAS, and try a re-install rather than have you do the Xtra work of repairing the db file.

I certainly appreciate the offer. If there's anything you can suggest - or think of that I should be wary of going forward - to prevent this from happening in the future please let me know.

Thanks again ! I will post an update here regarding the results.

To: the_man:

I reinstalled DBLink TV Server, and also TVSource, both are the latest versions 5.5.0, build 12217.

When I go to the Sources tab, on TV Sources it says:

"TVSource
There are no compatible tuners detected on your system. For the list of tuners please click here"

On the EPG Sources tab, it shows:

"XML TV
Add source; when I click the + sign it shows:
XMLTV-1"

My HD Home Run Connect tuner, is working because I can go into the HD Home Run app and view live programs from my Windows PC.

So this is clearly an issue with the DVBLogic Server and/or TVSource programs for some crazy reason.

Any suggestions would be welcome, otherwise, if I can't get this to work I will ask for a refund on the purchase of the TVSource application.

Thanks again the_man.

After reinstalling both DVLogic Server and TVSource, TVSource was not detecting my HDHomerun Connect box.

After about 1 hour or so, all of a sudden HDHomerun was showing up and I was able to reprogram the tuners and scan for channels.

Crazy. But it seem to be working now.

Thanks again the_man.

Just for reinsurance,After you have configured all the settings (TVSources, channel selection ... ) make a dvblink configuration backup file. So if you need to reinstall the server, you will be able to restore all settings from this backup file.
