dvblink crashing

Postby dswan80 » Fri Feb 21, 2014 10:28 pm

I recently updated my AS-202TE to the latest Beta Version of Asustor's ADM (2.1). Dvblink continued working fine until a few days ago. I attempted to view my recording schedule and realized the server was down. I restarted DVBLink Server on the NAS, it worked for a few minutes and then became unavailable again. After several attempts, I finally removed and reinstalled the DVBLink Server. After reconfiguring all of my settings, it crashed again. I finally logged into the terminal and found a file called crash_report.txt. I've attached the contents of that file below. The only other change I've recently made was updating my HDHomerun HDHR3-US to the latest "release" firmware (20140121). I don't see how this would affect the DVBLink Server on my NAS though.

Thanks.

It is one of your selected channels that crashes the server. It has invalid (in one or another sense) channel name.
Can you please make a backup of your dvblink configuration and attach it zipped here please?

I've uploaded the configuration file.

Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks. Unfortunately we are not able to reproduce the crash here with your backup file.
Can you please do two things:
- set server log level to info - so that we have full log file it crashes next time.
- remove all selected channels and add them one by one until it starts crashing again.

I removed all channels, added a few back, and set a recording for a single show. It crashed again. I've attached the log file with info-level set.

Thanks.

Would it be possible for you to do a small experiment - install DVBLink on Windows platform to see if it crashes as well? Thanks.

Thanks for your help. I do not have a Windows machine to test on (only Mac). Due to other ongoing issues with the ADM software Asustor is developing for these NAS units, I've decided to switch to a Synology DS214play. What is the process to transfer my DVBlink license to the new NAS?

Thanks again.
