Problem Removing Sources

Postby paul608085 » Wed Oct 28, 2015 1:32 am

ReadyNAS104 running firmware 6.4.0 and TVSource 5.5.0 build 11998.

Trying to resolve an earlier problem has resulted in multiple appearances of my Dual DVB-T USB tuner in TVSource. I would like to delete all of these and start afresh, however using the TVSource GUI to do this usually results in TVServer crashing. Through perseverance I have managed to delete all but one entry, this one refuses to go. I believe that I may need to modify a file called "TVSourceConfiguration.xml" ?

1.) Where is this file located on a ReadyNAS104? I can SSH into the device, but have been unable to find it.

2.) What do I need to do to this file.

Are there any other ways to remove stubborn entries in TVSource?

Before doing somthing with config file, let's have a look at your log files.
Please, set log level to info, restart dvblink server, reproduce the issue (if sarver crash you will need to start it again to be ablr to save the log files) and attach zipped log files here.

Seems your dlrecorder.db is corrupted.
You can repair it with this manual:
http://dvblogic.com/wiki/index.php/How_ ... er.db_file
or just upload it to any of file share and attach link here, and i will do it for you.
After all steps, reboot server one more time and try to delete source again.

I followed the instructions and it seemed to work OK. I had to copy the file off of the ReadyNAS to a Windows PC and then reload the processed file, was this correct? The dlrecorder.db file reduced from approx 82MB to 76.4MB. I am still unable to delete the final DVB-T source entry though and the server still crashes when tying to do so. The attached log is after trying to repair the database, is it still corrupted?

In case the dlrecorder.db file is still corrupted after I had tried to repair it I have posted a copy of the original here:

Are you able to repair it please?

The repaired db here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_cunv ... sp=sharing
Do next steps:
- stop dvblink server
- backup old db file
- put repaired db file instead old one
- start dvblink server
- wait up to 15 minutes
- try to delete TV source,
If the issue is played back, please attach new log files here.

I'm still getting the problem unfortunately with your repaired file. I waited for about 25 minutes after restarting the server before attempting to delete "DVB-T_1", but the server still crashed without removing it. Once the server had restarted I tried removing it a second time with the same results. Latest log attached.
Thanks.

Ok, now your dlrecorder.db looks good.
But if you can't delete existing tvsource, most probably the issue somewhere deeper.
The only way at the moment, it's do a complete reinstallation.( or just for test, you can remove/install TVSource package and configure new tv sources afterwards )
( you can try to make a backup file at dvblink settings, but it would be better if you set up all from scratch )
PS. the current recordings should remain, even after reinstall of dvblink server.

I tried removing and re-installing TVSource and also complete removal and re-installation of DVBLink and restoration of backup file, but in both cases the rogue entry in TVSource was still there. I have now completely removed and re-installed DVBLink, (a clean insallation did remove the DVB-T_1 tuner), and am starting the process of re-configuring it from scratch. Unfortunately I think that it will take a very long time!
Thanks for your help.
