5.5.0 doesn't work on my ReadyNAS 104

Upgraded to 5.5.0 today.

Had to re-scan for channels (which worked OK). However, now attempting any tuning operation gives: "Error while tuning: IDS_TUNING_FAILED"

System is now unusable. (The DVBLink application, that is).

Hardware is: Netgear ReadyNAS 104, running 6.2.4 plus pctv 292e stick.
Log file is attached.

Let me know if you need any further diagnostic info.

Either you have a stick in USB3 port or you have some additional peripherals (like a disk) on the same USB port. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting PCTV stick.
If it will not help - write an e-mail to info at dvblogic.com and they will provide you with a download link for v5.1.

Yes, the pctv stick is in the front USB (2.0) slot, and I have an external HDD and UPS in the rear USB (3.0) ports.

It all worked fine under 5.1, so something in 5.5 has affected the stability of the connection to the pctv stick.

I will request the downgrade to 5.1.

I am experiencing similar problems with my Hauppauge Dual DVB-T USB Tuner stick. Scanning detects the available multiplexes OK and the channels within them, but trying to watch any channel gives the error, "Sorry, cannot display this channel either because there is a technical problem or no TV signal". Sat>IP tuner inputs work fine. Also on ReadyNAS104 v6.2.4

ISTR that I had the same problem a while back when the ReadyNAS firmware updated. Is a downgrade to v5.1.0 still the only option?

Paul

...welcome back. This is now discussing my PCTV 292e stick not working after the NAS upgrade to 6.4.0.

After a shutdown and start up (as opposed to a restart) it's now reverted to "device not found" - so sometimes it recognises the stick and sometimes it doesn't...

Log files attached.

Maybe i missed this, but, what USB port do you use? If you do have ReadyNAS104, then, you have to connect the PCTV tuner into the front port USB 2.0

We have uploaded a new TVSource installer (build number is the same), which fixes device recognition on reboot and a signal strength indiciator for 292e on r6 arm platform.
Please do the following:
- Update DVBLink TVSource from DVBLink Package Center
- Reboot your NAS
- Try scanning
- If scanning fails, set log level to info, retstart DVBLink Server package, reproduce the issue and attach new zipped log files here.

Thanks Oberon - as build number is the same, I only have "repair" not "install" or "upgrade" - Will that pull down the updated version?

I am repairing and rebooting now...

OK... with the updated version...

ReadyNAS 104 took about 10 minutes from restart to the point where it would open OS admin window and allow me to launch DVBlink window (I know it's a low spec processor!)

I was able to scan for muxes, and all those expected were found. The signal strength meter (under Sources/Advanced Setting/Signal) reports 0% for DVB-T2 (256QAM) muxes - but it does store and successfully tune to these HD channels.
EPG guide appears fully populated (including HD channels) so the system is usable. Your Mux list for UK/Rowridge (4111.INI) is out of date, but this is a minor issue.

So, a couple of rough edges - but thanks for the quick turnaround today.

I'm still experiencing some instability: This morning it was coming up again as "device not found" (NAS has not be rebooted since yesterday), and then later detecting it as a new device - luckily it allows me to copy the configuration from the old to the new, which saves me 30 minutes of scanning, setting up favourites, etc. but is not much use if I'm away and expecting it to record reliably...

Would you like some log files for this?

OK - it's working now, but must have become "unrecognised" sometime overnight.

So, shall I wait for it to fail again and then send logs? What log level shall I set now - "Info"?

Yes, i'd like to look at the log files.
But, as i understand, at the moment tuner are recognized occasionally ( after restarting dvblink server or rebooting the NAS )
And Did such behaviour happen earlier?
Given all these symptoms, looks like it are low level power supply in USB port, or hardware defect. Just for test you can install dvblink server for windows ( or ubuntu ) if you have such and try to work with this tuner there (with trial licenses ).
