PCTV73e / UnityMediaHD / HELP!

Postby Master.Chief » Fri May 03, 2013 12:06 pm

Hi everyone...

im very excited about this product but i cant get it working.

My Setup:
    Netgear ReadyNAS Duo v2
    PCTV nanoStick 73e
    Provider: UnityMedia
    UnityMedia HD Recorder

i tried to set it up like this: (The HD-Recorder is able to pass through the signal)

Cable into HD-Box -> SignalOut -> into PCTV73e

but this setup doesnt work at all... i tried to get some signals with DVB-T setup and DVB-C. i always get "tuning failed" ... does someone got the same problem with unitymedia maybe? or some other cable providers?

thanks for help!

UnityMedia is dvb-c (cable) TV provider, while PCTV 73e is a dvb-t tuner. You need a dvb-c tuner to pick up Unitymedia TV channels. Currently it is only HDHomeRun t/c for a NETGEAR platform. We will be adding another USB dvb-c tuner to the list of supported tuners in the nearest future.

thanks for quick response. i will try the HDHomeRun t/c ...

just another question:
are there any diferences between the connection of direct input, like the cable and the koax-input? i mentioned that it is possible to take the signal out of the antenne-out output to get a signal and a picture on a tv by using the antenne function. i m not a pro at this, but is this the same signal like cable, or does the hd-box convert it into something else, like antenne (dvb-t) ?
