DVBLink Crashes once or twice a week - I need help

Hello,
I am facing a DVBLink crash-Problem and it seems I need some help on this.
DVBLink Server 6.0.0 Build 14499
DVBLink TVSource 6.0.0 Build 14197
on Synology Nas DS216j with DSM 6.1.3 - 15152 Update 5
Tuner PCTV461e is connected via USB to DS216j, and receives its TV Signal from Astra & Hotbird via active Multiswitch.
I have scheduled a Manual recording to happen each evening lets say from 19:30 to 20:15.
While basically everything is working fine, it intermittent happens usually once or twice a week, that the DVBLink System crashes.
If that happens, it does not record nor show any TV Station anymore. Instead, it shows a screen saying "Sorry cannot display this channel either because there is a technical problem or no TV signal". I have to re-start the DS216j and then immediatly everything is fine again. But it will Crash again in one, two, or three days.
I did a bit of Troubleshooting.
 Here is what I tested:
Unplugging and re-plug the PCTV461e will NOT fix to get the System running
TV Signal is available on Multiswitch Output
The PCTV461e is displayed correctly in DSM in InfoCenter under ExternalDevices, even when DVBLink had crashed
In contrast to that, DVBLink says under Sources TV Sources "Device is not present"
I have not found any predictability when the next Crash will happen. It seems random to me. However it seems the number of crashes have increased during the last weeks.
I used PCTV461e with and without its power supply - no improvement
The solution is to re-boot the DS216j :) . Then everything is immediatly fine until the next crash happens. :?

Maybe some of you guys can give me some help or ideas. :?:
I have attached log file.
Many thanks
Michael

Hello

I have here sometimes the same problemes.
In the log-File located in the DSM package center on DVBLogic, I got the error message: unknown error in py part.

An other user fixed this problem, but I don't run his packages...
Onthe Synology Forum I found the soltion to disable the internal firewall of the DSM, this helped me since yesterday

Now I deleted the dlrecorder.db file. Next try....

Ciao Ralf

Issue with license engine, seems Date/time on the Server machine is not correct and you got an "emergency server stop"

IIRC was that the reason, you told me last time. I checked the time in the NAS twice, but it seems o.k.
Is it possible the the applications like DVBLogic can get such problems if the CPU and RAM usage are very high? 99 % for CPU load e.g. due
to picture indexing?

Btw. Is there a version of DVBLogic for the new DS118?
Maybe I switch from my old DS111 to DS118 or to DS116 where is a version available...

Thank you for your support

Ralf

OK. Today 03-Nov-2017 around 8pm it seems the next crash happened. I had info to log level this time. I attach log file and a screenshot. The device is present in DSM while it is not present i DVBLink. I now reboot the Synology, then it will work again perfect until the next crash happens in some days...
Many thanks for any hints or tips to improve reliability.

In DVBlink logs i just see that tuner was not found and earlier were a lot of errors regarding bad incoming signal or issues with tuner.

In the dmesg logs issues are related to tuner itself or tuner drivers. Looks like tuners can't get enough power for correct work, or even it is corrupted.

Can't say for sure, but i guess the installation file for DS916+ should suite for DS118, DS218play, DS418 models

Thank you for evaluating the log file's content. I will run the tuner only with power supply connected from now on. And I will observe the behavior for the next weeks and let you know the results. ... talk soon..
