Problems with TBS USB DVB-C TV Stick

Postby tommytom79 » Wed Jul 08, 2015 5:18 am

I have about every few weeks the problem that the TBS USB DVB-C TV Stick is no longer recognized at once. This I can not take records, or television via DVBLink Server. Only when I unplug the USB TBS DVB-C TV Stick from NAS, then disable DVBLink Server, then restart the NAS, than infect back the TBS USB DVB-C TV Stick to the NAS and Switch on again the DVBLink Server, the TBS USB DVB-C TV Stick is recognized.
After I really have every few weeks and I can no longer count on me, I hope someone can help me. Have someone else the same problem? I have appended with a log file.

Could you, please, next time to attach log file when the issue will be played back?
Described issue make me think that there are some problem with USB port ( powered in it or so ... ). Is your tuner connected directly to USB 2.0 on your NAS or via USB HUB?
And when the issue is reproduced go to NAS settings at external devices tab, just look if tuner displayed there.

The Tuner is connected directly to USB 2.0 at the front of the NAS.

the tuner is in the NAS (DSM) never appear under "External devices" and is being currently not displayed, although he currently works and found in dvbLOGiC. is perhaps this the problem? it must be displayed in the NAS (DSM)?

Oh, sorry it's my fault, the right path where it should be displayed is:
Control panel -> Info center -> General -> External Devices

Under Control panel -> Info center -> General -> External Devices the tuner is just visible
What do I have to do the next time exactly if the stick there is no longer visible? I do not understand quite what you mean by this phrase?

Could you, please, next time to attach log file when the issue will be played back?

I mean, next time when your tuner will disappear from dvblinik server:
- first of all make dvblink log files
- go to Control panel -> Info center -> General -> External Devices and look if tuner visible there.

And what about today? I mean is Tuner visible at TV Sources tab now? At log file i see that your tuner was deinitialized and disconnected, a few times ( so maybe that is the reason of issue. In two words - tuner disappears/disconnects from NAS for a while, for unknown reason, maybe power suply ....)

that's exactly the problem that I do not know why he disconnects. After I saved the log, only when I unplug the USB TBS DVB-C TV Stick from NAS, then disable DVBLink Server, then restart the NAS, than infect back the TBS USB DVB-C TV Stick to the NAS and Switch on again the DVBLink Server, the TBS USB DVB-C TV Stick is recognized. Is the log when it has lost the connection and why?

Sorry, but i can't say why, at least at the moment. Only guesses, that some issue happens after the NAS wakes up or because of weak power supply at NAS's USB...

By the way there are a new build of dvblink server and TV Source available.

which means that it may possibly be because I have set with my nas that the hard drives are to go after a certain time in the sleep mode when they are not needed?
thanks for the hint, I've seen today

Yesterday I had the problem again. Only this time I noticed that I was unable to access the DVB Link Server and was no longer recognized in the DSM from Synology NAS of USB DVB-C Stick. What can I do so that the problem can be solved? Frankly that's currently no satisfactory solution, because you can not rely on it that the stick works. Has been no it's the same problem and still occurred in none?
