CCCAM client with Synology NAS device

Postby bilouz » Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:18 pm

Hello,
I would like to use a CCCAM client as HADU or ACAMD or other one with DVBLINK TV server for Synology.
On my PC it s very easy , just put the Hadu.dll into plugin folder but on the Synology OS , I don't know if is it possible ? ( what plugin use ? )
My synology device is the NAS DS-212J.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

It is not possible. Stream decryption takes a lot of CPU power that NAS devices (especially ARM-based like DS212j) do not have.

Come on... cccam runs on a Fritzbox Router that has power like a fly...

Maybe on low bitrate SD channels like dvb-t. For a single HD channel you would need at least Intel Atom dual core.

Just had a look - on Fritzbox it is just a server, giving the keys. And all hard job is done by clients - usually PCs with a good CPU.

The statement of 2012, is no longer true today .
I use a DS415play and tvheadend I can use cccam or oscam . Enough performance is so because , also works with HD channels .

I wish this feature continues for DVBLink . Is there a chance ?
