Postby hb1966 » Sun Oct 08, 2017 7:17 pm

Hi

I m new here and I like to ask for help. I update my Synology to a 1815+. This has only USB 3 and my old TV stick ( DVBS2 ) didn t work longer. He need USB 2.

So I need to by a new one. And I like to use this with DVB Logic.

Has anybody a stick what run well at the 1815+ ?

I know there is a list at Synology page but in the time I had my old NAS I face a lot of problems even it was show at this list as workable.

Thanks

Harald

In this case the good (but not cheap ) way is to get a sat2ip receiver and forget about issues with drivers.
NETGEAR RNDU2000; Synology DS112j, DS 212j, DS213+, DS 712+; Western Digital WD ex2; Asustor AS3, RPI2 ...
PCTV 460,461e,292e; TT 4400, 4650CI;DVBSKy S960; DD octopus net; Inverto sat2ip multibox; TBS DVB-C ...

Just about to say the same, get sat to ip receiver.

inverto.tv 4002
vbox xti 3340

are examples of one that will do what you want and no more driver issues.
MCE: i3 min itx 4GB Ram 250GB SSD blu ray | Server: Synology DS815+ 16gb Ram. | Tuners: Inverto IDL 400s Sat>ip 4 x DVB-S/S25, PCTC 292e DVB-t/T2
Other clients : 3 Xbox 360, WDTV Live, 3 x Kodi box & A partridge in a peartree!!

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but it is slightly relevant to my situation.

Since upgrading my NAS to one that only has USB3 ports I’ve been having a similar problem in that my PCTV 292e DVB-t/t2 usb sticks are no longer being recognised. You will see from my other posts that I’ve been trying to route them through TVHeadend on RPi and configure them as a Sat>ip source in TVSource but I can’t seem to get this working either.

My next step is to buy a HDHomerun but sadly they are not available in the UK at the moment so my question is this. Can I use a Vbox xti 3342 instead? Will it be recognised as a sat>ip source by TVSource or in a similar way to the HDHomerun? Or can I only use it with DVBLink’s IPTV package?

Many thanks
