My issue is that there were a number of changes to both the Kodi backend and the dvblink plugin around PVR.
These changes are only in the nightlies and as far as I know, the fixes haven't been backported.
So my problem is that on the standard Kodi 17 we are missing various essential fixes to the PVR layer which forces people to use 18 nightlies.
As you know due to the rapid pace of the nightlies this introduces further issues.
Its the lack of a bug tracker/progress update/acknowledgement of issues/lack of statement of intent to address some of these long standing issues/lack of road map etc that generally adds to the frustration.
There was also a discussion about tv-mosaic being able to hook up to dvblink backend but that has gone quiet as well.
As far as I'm aware the changes to the Kodi dvblink plugin are
