Kodi Plugin 3.4.2 doesn´t work on Openelec 8.0

I have just upgraded to Openelec 8.0.0 but the PVR plugin fails to start. In the log file I found:

20:09:43.881 T:139830056650880 ERROR: ADDON: Dll DVBLink PVR Client - Client returned bad status (6) from Create and is not usable

OpenELEC is a fork of Kodi and doesn't use the official PVR addons that most other Kodi platforms get. You'll need to take this up with the OpenELEC developers.

OpenELEC is a Linux Distribution containing the Linux version of Kodi for several platforms (Raspi, Intel, ...). If the Addon works with LibreELEC it should also work with OpenELEC if the platform is the same...

Hmmm I wasn´t aware of Libreelec until now. Has an owncloud<->nextcloud feeling to it. But what can I say. I upgraded smoothly to Libreelec and the DVBLink client there (which is one subversion higher) works flawlessly. So Libreelec it is for the time being. Thanks for the info.

Oh, sorry guys if I misinformed. My memory must be faulty but I thought I'd seen several threads regarding OpenELEC coming up on the Kodi forums and members of Team Kodi basically saying that it's not officially supported and fixes would need to be done by openELEC, I must have got it mixed up with something else.

So do we know if there is an update in the works?

I haven't had a problem with version compatibility for several years with Openelec and the DVBLink client.
