Kodi 17 + DVBlink (3.3.9) = no Dolby Digital

I installed the latest Kodi 17 on my Amazon Fire TV (v1 and v2/4K) with DVBlink 3.3.9 addon.

Dolby Digital and DTS passthrough are working absolutely fine with movies from my NAS.
But in Live TV with DVBlink, output is only PCM 2.0 (and somehow strange/altered)

With Kodi 16.1 and DVBlink addon v2.1.7 everything works fine.

Since Kodi 17 passthrough sadly is disabled with Live-TV :(

Thanks for the info.
I hope this will be fixed. Until then, I will revert back to 16.1 as this is a no-go for me.

I just found out how Dolby Digital in Live TV still (or again?) works:

set your audio configuration to 2.0 channels, activate passthrough and(!) "enable Dolby Digital (AC3) transcoding"

Now both, video files and Live TV 5.1 is working fine with my Fire TV (v1).
I checked with an ac3 test file and Live TV (Star Wars, e.g. the spaceships were clearly hearable coming from the back, flying to the front)

Already tested this configuration and for me also DD output works.
But with this config ive noticed issues when a commercial break starts - my av then is switching to multichannel stereo instead of Dolby ProLogic Movie (which i definitly prefer)....

I also use this setup but I have noticed a audio/video asynchronity... :(

But this isn't a problem of DVBLink. It's with all (i.e. Movies and series from my NAS)

In the meantime the above linked Thread (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=284580) indicates that it might indeed be a DVBLink Plugin issue. Especially this parts:

"live stream" is the wrong expression in this context. It is called realtime, that means data comes in in the speed of playback. Video player asks the inputstream (in case of PVR, the PVR backend) if the stream is realtime.
If you get no passthrough on a recording, this is most likely an issue with the pvr addon you have in use.

and

DVBViewer Client add-on currently always returns True, also when timeshifting. So it is always a realtime stream, hence no passthrough.

I would now assume that the DVBLink Plugin flags each stream as "realtime" as well. Even in case of timeshifting and playback of recordings. Maybe this could be changed?
