The last librelec release for RPI2 is in general working fine except for the need to reboot after no use for about 6 hours (without the reboot the PI freezes and has to be powered off and on).

what are you using for TV guide data? And which satellite are you pointing at?

I once tried TV Headend, but never figured out how to get a good EPG. With the demise of Windows MCE, I now have to move to something (that works flawlessly).

My subscription for Dvblink's guide data is due to expire soon and if this Kodi option doesn't work out, I shall have to look at alternatives sooner rather than later.

It's a shame because in general, DVBlink is a nice stable back end.

For the record...I've now updated to Libreelec 7.90.010 and the issues remain as before :-(

Using SD/XMLTV for guide data on Headend. I've also tried MP TVServer and it also doesn't lock-up on v17. I see an issue was created on the Git repo of the add-on but I doubt it'll go anywhere since you can't get a decent log of the issue. Unbelievable that this is still not resolved after months.

Upgraded Kodi 16 to 17 last week and Kodi keeps hanging at least a couple of times a day, have to reboot or log off windows/back on again to recover.

Seems to be related to this issue - dvblink plugin... any ideas/updates? Have dvblogic reproduced it?

Do I understand correctly that Kodi 16 was OK before, but the problem only exists in Kodi 17?

This is useful to know as I intend to roll back and test Kodi 16 (If the problem persists for me, at least I know Kodi 16 & DVBlink should be OK)

There was an indication from "the_man" that they had reproduced the issue at least once - but not constantly (funny as I have this every day on three PIs - I think I also saw the problem on OSX too but can't be sure of that).

Thanks

Never had this issue with Kodi 16. I expect if I rolled back i wouldn't have this issue.

I'm running on windows 10.

Hi,
Thought I would add my experience as I am having the Same issue since updating to Kodi 17 (I am now running 17.1-RC1)

I have DVBLink 6.0.0 (build 13314) running on a synology NAS (DS212+)
I use EGP for digiguide 6.0.0 (build 12901), also HD-TV source for some channels.

I have 2 Rasp Pis (Pi 2 model B 1GB)
running kodi with DVBLink PVR Clien 3.3.11 addon

Both experience the same issues, very unstable, often freezes and needing power cycle. Even TV playback not great will often freeze when fast forwarding recorded TV.
Also often need to clear data under PVR manager, although this does not improve performance.

Would be good to know what is being done about the issue and whether I need to go back to Kodi 16. by the way when previously on Kodi 16 the setup was rock solid with all components very stable and only rarely needing intervention.

thanks

The news in that thread looks very good....

I really hope this solves the hang up problems after ~ 6 hours - Looking forward to checking it out.

Thanks Oberon and co for your support!
