PVR Addon for Kodi 17

Hi Oberon,

I know, Kodi 17 is still alpha, but I use it on my Raspberry with OpenELEC (Milhouse build). In builds above 0125 the DVBLink PVR addon is broken. Please can you have a look at it before the addon will be marked as "broken"?

Kodi 17 changed the API to version 4.2.0 currently dvblink and nextpvr are the only pvr's that havnt been fixed to support this.

If the changed are made I at least will happily test the plugin.

And 2.0.1 works fine with Krypton, just so you know.

Hi, I've been running Kodi 16 with a specific build for dealing with DTS-HD-MA and TrueHD and this was working fine.
I read that these changes have been rolled into v17 nightlies now, so I foolishly updated to Kodi 17 nightly and the plugin won't work (presumably due to the changes around the API change as mentioned above).
@Oberon, when can we expect a build of the PVR addon that works with 17 nightlies?

thanks.

Since yesterday the DVBLink PVR addon is the only one not updated to API 4.2.0 :(

@Oberon @the_man , any ideas when we can expect Kodi 17 support with the dvblink plugin?

Why these late timeframe? All other PVR's have established their support for API 4.2.0 already

I hardly think you can call it late - Jarvis isn't even officially out yet and you're complaining about lack of Krypton support? Then you're told it's coming in 4-6 weeks and you still complain. Try exercising some patience and a little gratitude might not go amiss while you're at it.

Thanks for the reply Oberon, although for us impatient alpha-beta testers it's slightly dissapointing. :)

I'd payed for TV Source and the not more needed Connect! Server. I think I was gratitude enough ...

I wonder, why just the commercial provider lags in this point

Kodi 17 will be released in a year from now. Time enough.

The main reason people are going to be running Kodi 17 nightlies are for DTS-HD-MA and TrueHD audio support and using PlexBMC plugin.
This becomes a non issue for me once Plex have TrueHD support (they already have DTS-HD-MA support).
That leaves the only use case for me for Kodi for the TV PVR functionality - and if the android TV app with full PVR support by the mighty @Oberon becomes reality, I'll no longer need to use Kodi at all.

Any news on adjusting the Kodi plugins to work with Kodi 17?
Or any news on the android TV app (with PVR features) to remove the need for Kodi entirely?
