Kodi Dvblink addon crash

Postby rogerbl » Sat Dec 05, 2015 6:59 pm

I have a problem with the Kodi Dvblink addon. It crashes when I use tvsource with terratec H7(dvb-T) on the server.
The app starts loading channels from the server and crash.
This problem is the same in Kodi for windows, android and OSX.
I have no problems using the Dvblink addon for Plex with the same config on the server.
Both the android and IOS dvblink app works well too.
When I remove tvsource all works well again.
I have tried all versions of Kodi with the same result.. something is not ok in that code.
My server is a windows home server 2011 with the latest dvblink updates.
Some lines from the kodi.log when this happens:

Versions:
- Kodi 15.2 for Android (up to date according to Play Store as of 02-Jan-2016)
- DVBLink PVR Client 1.10.9

DVBLink PVR Client is working fine in the same version with Kodi 15.2 on QNAP TS-451, Raspi2 OpenELEC 6.0.0 and Windows. Running DVBLink Server & TV Source 5.5.0 on QNAP TS-451.

Okay I found the solution: it seems to happen when you use the Kodi MySQL database feature and have changed channel numbers for certain channels in DVBLink.

You need to go to Settings->TV->General and select "Clear data". Kodi will then get all channels and EPG data from scratch and the TV feature will work fine afterwards. I verified this in Kodi on Windows and Android.

By default DVBLink assigns channel number -1 for all channels. If they are changed later to values > 0 it seems to make trouble in the database.
