Series recording - rules?

Hi all,

I have the latest add on for Kodi 14.2 installed. When I select series record for a particular show, it also records other programs with the same title, but might have a suffix on the end such as 'Encore' or new. How do I stop that from happening? I only want it to record the same title that I choose.

Thanks

Please, describe in more details: how recordings have programmed, (manually, from EPG ), what is your EPG loader ...

Yes, I see that happening too. It records (for my girlfriend obviously ;) ) "Say yes to the dress", but "Say yes to the dress: Atlanta" is also recorded. And so is "Say yes to the dress: Randy Knows Best"
Not a real issue, but perhaps the option to select "exact match" would be nice.

Exactly what I am getting. I select to record as a series "Masterchef Australia", and it includes "Masterchef Australia - Encore" in the recordings.

Ok, as i understand it's right behavior. Look, you set up TV Show "Say yes to the dress" - it's title, dvblink starts to go throught the EPG data, looking for this title "Say yes to the dress" and it does not matter, what subtitle (subhead) is, like "Say yes to the dress: Randy Knows Best", for dvblink it's like second series from season.

Agreed. Is not a real issue in my opinion. I just saw some miscommunication between you and fab4272 and it was easy to clarify.

The strange thing is that the other way around it does work. Because of the Kodi Mimic skin I had accidentally deleted the entire series rather than deleting one recording, I needed another tuner for live TV yesterday.

So, I tried to set the recording again this morning. I first selected "Say yes to the dress - Atlanta" assuming everything containing "Say yes to the dress" would be recorded, but it didn't. It only marked "Say yes to the dress - Atlanta" occurrences to be recorded and no "Say yes to the dress". So, I deleted that series again and marked a "Say yes to the dress" occurrence for recording the series. And yes: "Say yes to the dress" and "Say yes to the dress - Atlanta" are now set to be recorded.
