TV Blink "black" when watching TV

Postby xtrem57 » Sat Mar 14, 2015 9:28 am

Hi,

I have a setup with DVBLink Server 5.1.0 b11073 on Windows Computer.
Tuner is a PCTV USB Stick from DVBLogic connected to my antena for DVB-T reception.

Two TVs with:
1/ Raspberry Pi2 @ OpenELEC 5.0.5 + PVR Addon 1.9.13 (Problem)
2/ Raspberry B @ OpenELEC 5.0.5 + PVR Addon 1.9.13 (Work great)

On my first setup (Pi2), I get some "cut" : my TV goes to a black screen for 1 to few seconds when watching TV Channel.
It get this in full screen watching or on a preview on channel menu of Kodi.
The problem is more present on HD Channel

I already cross tested Pi2 / Pi to see if it was my screen or not --> it is not a screen problem.

Any idea / help ?

Regards

Can you please, set log level to info, restart dvblink server, reproduce the issue and attach zipped log file here?
Also this kind of issue may be associated with RPI codecs.
And one more question: Do you use on RPI DVBLink PVR Addon or DLNA client?

Hi,

Please see the log file in attachment.
I use RPI DVBLink PVR Addon v1.9.13
I also create a short video of the problem : http://youtu.be/3EU1MXv17Hs

I try to disable the Pi2 codec, didn't solve the problem.
As the problem is on HD Channel, I don't think it is a codec issue.
More interessting, while the screen goes black, I still get my ambilight (hyperion) working !

I didn't have any issue with Movies or TVShow (HD file too)

From the log files i have seen that on server side everything works good (start streaming and after 23 sec. stop streaming )
so, i gues, it's client issue. Can you please, conduct some tests?
1) try to play Live TV and Recording via DLNA client
- in main menu of Kodi
- click on Video -> files -> Add Video -> Browse -> UPnP Devices ->(there are must appear your dvblink server) click on DVBLink server-> Ok -> Ok
- now you can click on name of your server and can watch all live tv and records

2) You say that you have two RPI. Please swap them and check everything again.

Thanks for your help

1/ DLNA: impossible to play, stay in "caching..."

2/ I have swaped RPi always same problem on my RPI2 (work great on RPI B+)

I make the test with a fresh OpenELEC install on my RPI2 + DVBLink PVR Addon --> it works !
So, it is a settings / config somewhere who is make trouble

Where ?!

1/ DLNA: impossible to play, stay in "caching..."

I had the same behavior on RPI2 with Openelec 5.0 -5.0.1
But it's gone when i update Openelec to version 5.0.5, so it's make me think that it was OS issue.
