Is there a need for a special RasPi 2 build?

Postby nexusle » Sat Feb 14, 2015 6:42 pm

Hi Oberon,

is there a need for a new/special RasPi 2 build of the PVR addon? In every case I see new builds for OpenELEC, XBian or so, so I think about that a special build for the PVR addon is needed as well?

As far as I know the currently available PVR addon for RPi works.

I meant as it is possible, that a special build have some optimizations on RPi2

I doubt so. There is not much that can/should be optimized.

There is a need for a special RasPi 2 build!

The PVR-Addon does not work on my RasPi 2 with Openelec/Kodi 5.0.3! I did a fresh install with the image from this site:
http://openelec.tv/get-openelec

And I Installed this Addon:
http://www.dvblogic.com/download/xbmc_p ... pberry.zip

After starting the RaspPi it takes several minutes before the Addon gets the Program Data from the Server. On my old RasPi it was much faster. But the worst Problem is that I can't whatch TV with my RasPi 2. It starts playing for about 30 seconds, then the playback stops for about 15 seconds and then it plays again for about 30 seconds.
Is there everything I can do about it? On my old Raspi B everything works fine with the PVR-Addon. And on my new RasPi 2 everything seems to be fine with Kodi except the PVR-Addon. So it has to do something with the PVR-Addon, I presume.

Got the same on fresh install of XBian...
can't play anything from DVBLink via the add-on (also on latest version).

Problem present on all recordings and also on Live TV.
Works just dandy on old RPi...

Does the above give any clues as to what is the problem?

Hello,

For what it's worth, I'm running OpenElec 5.0.5 on my RPI2 and Dvblink PVR add-on version 1.9.13 and haven't had any issues with either live or recorded tv through it. Hope you get it solved.
