PVR Addon Start takes about 30 sec (Openelec)

Postby dhjgv » Sun Jan 18, 2015 12:47 pm

Hi all,

my problem came with Openelec 5.0
WIth 4.2.1 all is quite fast! Even on Windows with Helix all is like we know from the past.

On OE5 the PVR addon starts after reboot and the info panel stays on the screen for about 30 seconds, informing me that Channels are loaded.
I tried the stock 1.9.11 and 1.9.13 add on. Both have the same behaviour.

Please find my log here:

If anything else is needed, please just say and I will do my best.

No you die not.
After starting kodi the pvr addon is loaded (loading channels and epg info). This channel grabbing lasts for over 30 seconds within no pvr related things can be done as the pvr section is only available AFTER this first initialization.

Quick look into the log. About 40 (only tv, no radio).

It is normal for RPI. In my case Start PVR Addon takes about 15 sec. Did you do CPU Overclocking to "medium" or "High" modes?

I had a look, but cannot help unfortunately.
In your xbmc log there is a huge gap of 22 seconds - absolutely not clear why as there is nothing happening at that time according to the log.

OK, I just installed OE on a different System and it is working fine.
Sorry for bothering. Looks like the problem is not the plugin itself.

€dit: I found the problem...
The Channel Logos are stored on the server and are accessed via smb share. After copying to the Client site all is going fast as hell! :)
Stupid me!
