Hi,

I've crashes of Kodi if I switch from one channel to another. Is this error known?

I've tested Kodi for Mac OS X and OpenELEC beta 1-4. With both the same.

Yes, this happened to me also. I have been testing almost every nightly of Kodi, and this just started. I am sure it will be corrected soon. I am using the android version of Kodi.

The question is: is it a bug in Kodi or the PVR addon ...

Update: today's Kodi update ( November 25) corrected the crashing problem when changing channels.

Correction, still crashing.

Why you think so? I'd not found any error report on Kodi's forum.

My testing was done using my Android TV box connected to my TV. This morning I tested using my Windows 7 computer. The version was compiled November 21, I used the on screen up and down arrow to change channels, it did not crash. I updated to the version that said compiled November 26, using the on screen up and down arrow it crashes.

I am beginning to think you you are correct and it is NOT Kodi. Do you have any ideas?

No. Not really. I hoped that Oberon could have a look...

Strange that no one else has mentioned this problem. Last night I was trying different models of XBMC, and got the same problem of crashing when changing channels. I tried, SPMC which has never crashed, last night it did. I also have XBMC 3.2 installed and it crashed when changing channels. These were tested on my Android TV box.

It does happen on my Windows 7 64 bit also. One more question, I am using an HDHomeRun OTA networked tuner. They have also updated their firmware on my tuners about the same time as our problem began. If you running the same type of tuner from Silicondust, it may be a problem on their end.

Let me know what tuner you are using.

thanks

Edit: Just tested using Windows Media Center on my windows 7 computer and it did not crash while changing channels. I think that proves that my HDHomeRun tuners are not the problem.

Oberon, I have created a crash log from XBMC/Kodi, would it help if I upload it for you too take a look at? When I change channels, XBMC/Kodi always crashes. This is occurs on all my clients and versions of XBMC.
I am using an HDHomeRun tuner, actually 2 different ones, that feeds into my Synology DS211j NAS.
I am running
DVBLink Server 5.1.0 10713
DVBLink EPG Loader for PercData 5.1.0 10797W
Windows 7 64 bit
Android TV box running 4.4.2

All devices connected via gigabit Ethernet.

This problem only started a couple of weeks ago.

I would appreciate any help.

thanks
