And post your result here?

Using my windows 7 64bit desktop computer
DVBLink Server 5.1.0 10713
DVBLink EPG Loader for PercData 5.1.0 10797
HDHomeRun dual OTA ATSC tuner Model: HDTC-2US
Older model HDHomeRun dual tuner
Synology DS211j NAS

I uninstalled the existing Kodi and installed the
14 Release Candidate 2
the only thing I added was the DVBLogic PVR addon
I configured the addon and did not select "time shifting"
changed channels and did not crash.

Enabled "time shifting" was able to change channels 3 or 4 times before crashing.

Tried again, with "time shifting" disabled, changed channels several times no crash.

Enabled "time shifting" again after three times changing channels, it crashed Kodi.

Made several more test with and without "time shifting" enabled,
sometimes with the "time shifting enabled" I could change channels several times before crashing.
With "time shifting" disabled, I could never get Kodi to crash.

Here is a log of the crash with "time shifting" enabled.

I've now disabled timeshift on my systems (Mac OS X 10.10 and OpenELEC 5.0 RC1) and I#ve no crashes, so it really seems, that timeshift is the reason. Maybe for Kodi it takes to long to generate the new buffer on channel change and it crashes.

That seems like a reasonable assumption, because I did notice an unusual amount of "seeking" and "buffering". However, even the other XBMC (XBMC 3.2 final and SPMC) still crash when "time shifting" is enabled, and they never crashed before.

So, I don't think it has anything to do with Kodi, or different versions of XBMC.

Ok! This is a important information.

Guys, I suggest that you open a ticket for that on Kodi side.
The timeshifting functionality is the same in v5 and v5.1 and it did not change in the PVR addon itself. If it worked in XBMC 13.x I do not see any reason for it not to work in Kodi. My guess is that Kodi asks for unaligned stream and cannot handle it afterwards.

The user clarkss47 also have these crashes with 13.2 and timeshift enabled. I'll test this tomorrow by myself and report here

I have not seen anywhere him reporting crashes on v13. Also the topic is about Kodi.

As XBMC 3.2 final I think he means 13.2

I just ran another test on my Android TV Box Beelink R89 using XBMC 13.2 compiled on August 17, 2014 using the DVBLink Addon version 1.9.1 that has the time shifting capabilities.

With the time shifting ENABLED, I changed the channel several times and it did not crash. Last week it crashed every time I changed the channel.

I switched to Kodi 14.0 RC 2 compiled Dec. 3, 2013 still using my android box. The DVBLink addon is version 1.9.9 which also supports time shifting. With the time shifting enabled, Kodi crashed immediately when I changed channels. I disabled the time shifting and I was able to change channels several times without crashing.
