Took the resolutions from DVBLink WebUI, can you stream channels with 720x576 from there?

Hi,

I wasn't able to try it before because I had removed the play channel funcitonnality on my dev version
I tried playing a channel in 720x576 and had no problem... Could it be a problem on your side?

Mika.

Will try again on sunday to try to see what causes this. What is your desktop resolution and dpi settings? Mine is 2800x something retina with %200 dpi.

Just tried your app on a Win 8 RTM laptop.

Settings are as such:

Server: 4.2 Ghz Core i5-2500k + Radeon HD 7950 @1Ghz
Laptop: 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo P8400 + Intel GMA4500MHD (it can go upto 1080p, but i'd rather not, this laptop goes waaaay to hot then ^^)

I set the resolution to 1280x768 @4 Mbps, it looks very nice, the audio is nice, but it is a second out of sync :/

Anything I can do?

Hi,

All video/audio problems are related to your server: Windows 8 doesn't ship with MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 codecs, which means the server has to transcode the video to a codec Windows 8 has (honnestly, I don't know which one, I'm jsut sure it's the onyl one that works)
I wasn't able to find any way to sync manually audio and video, so, the only thing you can actually do is update your server processor (no, DVBLogic Connect! Server doesn't use the video card...), or lower the resolution (or the bitrate)

Of course, the best solution would be Connect! Server to use hardware acceleration

Shoud've mentionned, server is still running Windows 7.

Edit: Update the server processor? x) Except spending 1000€ on an Xeon processor, it doesn't really get any better than that. Also, it is fully capable of SW decoding/transcoding.

Like I said, it would make more sense to have Connect! Server use hardware acceleration, you have a great graphic card and it is not even used a bit for this work

Sorry to say its crash-tastic on my surface, I can get to the second setup screen then it dies :(
Look forward to a more stable version

Hi !

First, I didn't have the time to do a lot on the app, last week I was preparing for my schoolar year, and now I am at school.
Sadly, this means I only have access to a DVBLink Connect! Server on the week-ends (and can only code the week-ends)

I am also reading all ratings that have been posted

For you problem, as I don't own a Surface (nor an ARM tablet), I can't give it a try
I don't see any reports on my dashboard, so, I don't really know why you have these crashes
Setup screens are Welcome (ip address, port), Credentials (username, password, if required), personnal settings (transcoding, logos, ...), and then you are redirected to the home screen
When does your problem occurs ?
Note that connecting to localhost is not supported for now (see http://dvblink.redmine.niloo.fr/project ... local_host - but as you are on a Surface, I don't really see how you could install Connect! Server on it)

I really don't get it... Running Windows 8 Pro (x64), English, from the Netherlands.

Anyway, through the direct link on your support page it shows up. Why won't it pick it up from the Store? But I've got it now, let's get cracking :).

Hi,

I app for video works great but on all hd channels I have no sound any ideas? If I use the mediacenter interface works fine so must be a client config thing

Thanks
Andrew
