IceTV "Connection test failed"

Postby tvmandan » Sat May 30, 2015 1:00 am

Hi,
I am currently using the trial version of your software on windows 8.1. The IceTV plugin worked well for a few days but has stopped working now. I noticed that the EPG had stopped updating. When checking the configuration page I now get the message "Connection test failed". Log file attached as per instructions.

I will purchase your software once the trial period ends however I need the Icetv plugin to be working before I take the step to purchase. Can you let me know if this problem will be rectified?
Regards,
Daniel

Some tips for you:
- please login first with your user name / password to the IceTV website - to make sure that your use/pswd combination that you are using in dvblink config is correct.
- and sometimes issue with EPG happens because of corruption in dlrecorder.db : http://dvblogic.com/wiki/index.php/How_ ... er.db_file
NETGEAR RNDU2000; Synology DS112j, DS 212j, DS213+, DS 712+; Western Digital WD ex2; Asustor AS3, RPI2 ...
PCTV 460,461e,292e; TT 4400, 4650CI;DVBSKy S960; DD octopus net; Inverto sat2ip multibox; TBS DVB-C ...

Thanks for the suggestions. I've confirmed my username/email and password via the IceTV website.
Tried repairing database as per instructions and even tried deleting the database to completely refresh. Still not working.

I emailed tech support and they told me to post my issue here. Still waiting to hear from tech support. It looks more like an issue with DVBLink authenticating with IceTV.

Since the failure of the original IceTV, I am now subscribing to the "phoenix" service month to month. Since I renewed my subscription on 24 Dec, DVBLink has not been able to connect. I can confirm my account is active and working as I tested it with Elgato EyeTV on my mac. I followed the advice above, but this did not resolve the problem.

There are no clues in the logs. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions (apart from dumping IceTV)?

UPDATE: 9 January 2016
The problem seems to have resolved. It may have taken a few days - I am not sure as I did not monitor it closely over the Christmas/New Year period.

If you want to solve your issue, the info - " same problem " is absolutely not enough.
