XMLTV Grabber

Postby finnvid » Tue Feb 24, 2015 3:41 pm

Hi,

It seems that the Seasons and Episodes are not loaded correctly sometimes.

As far as I have seen it is when there is multiple "episode-num" with different attributes and the xmltv_ns is not the first entry

<episode-num system="thetvdb.com">series/78816</episode-num>
<episode-num system="xmltv_ns">2 . 8 .</episode-num>
<episode-num system="onscreen">Del 9 säsong 3</episode-num>

Could you please make the grabber to read the one with xmltv_ns as a default?

Would it be possible to get information of in what format DVBLink expects the episode-num to be in?

As i know, it must be like that:
Code: Select all
<episode_num>3</episode_num>
<season_num>2</season_num>
NETGEAR RNDU2000; Synology DS112j, DS 212j, DS213+, DS 712+; Western Digital WD ex2; Asustor AS3, RPI2 ...
PCTV 460,461e,292e; TT 4400, 4650CI;DVBSKy S960; DD octopus net; Inverto sat2ip multibox; TBS DVB-C ...

Thanks a lot...after some experiments I can also conclude that

<episode-num system="xmltv_ns">0.11. </episode-num>

(being season 1, episode 12)

Works fine

Found a grabber that works fine with XMLTV.se (after some small modifications regarding the episode-stuff and change to new websites). Since the original code was from some board no longer active, i did put it on github.

http://xmltv.se has around 700 tv-channels and radiostations in Europe for free non-commercial use.

You need to get username (free) from http://www.epg.io

Hi finnvid,

I have downloaded your source code from github and compiled it.

I have also registered a new user at epg.io.

When I try to run tvzon.exe I get this:
Loading Cache History...
Retrieving channels from 'http://xmltv.xmltv.se/channels.xml.gz'...
Retrieving channels last modified from 'http://xmltv.xmltv.se/datalist.xml.gz'...
Retrieving channels from 'http://api.epg.io/2/channel/list/'...
Error retrieving resource 'http://api.epg.io/2/channel/list/' The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.. Try '1'. Wait '10'.
Error retrieving resource 'http://api.epg.io/2/channel/list/' The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.. Try '2'. Wait '20'.

I guess I need my own apiKey to put in the config-file. How do I get that? The epg.io site seems partly broken...

Hi,

OK, I figured out that http://epg.io/api is the key url.

Sorry, I did not see this until now ;-)

They added the check of client type and I need to change that in the source, will do this weekend.
