Compatibility with VBox Network Tuner

Postby RobWinchester » Thu Dec 25, 2014 3:42 pm

Hi, I'm new to DVBLink
I have a Freeview - VBox TV Gateway - http://www.vboxcomm.com/uk-freeview-and-freesat.html it's a great dual DVB-T2 network tuner.
I am trying to connect it to the DVBLink Configuration
1. The VBox automatically generates a m3u playlist of all the channels, available on http://<device IP>:55555/httpChannels.m3u8 - see attached
2. I've managed to connect it using DVBLink for IPTV - very simple just entered the VBox m3u IP address and it found all the channels
3. Now I try to get the EPG from the VBox TV Gateway by going to the VBox XMLTV link - http://<device IP>/cgi-bin/HttpControl/HttpControlApp?OPTION=1&Method=GetXmltvEntireFile - see attached XMLTV file received from this link
4. I try to set the EPG @ - DVBLink --> IPTV sources --> EPG sources tab --> XMLTV
5. I tried all the combinations i can think of but nothing seems to be working, I cannot see the EPG - on Channels --> EPG sources
5.1 EPG sources - I only have default or none
5.2 The two drop down menus on the left side are empty

I would really appreciate your help
Merry X-Mas
Rob

You can put your *.xml file in the path C:\ProgramData\DVBLogic\DVBLink\xmltv if your server on PC
or at /DVBLink/xmltv folder if you are use NAS
then just add XMLTV source at dvblink web-configurator, after that you can assign EPG data to your channels in tab
Channels-> EPG sources
NETGEAR RNDU2000; Synology DS112j, DS 212j, DS213+, DS 712+; Western Digital WD ex2; Asustor AS3, RPI2 ...

Thank you @the_man
I thought about doing that, but I'd like to avoid coping the file every 12 house manually, I was looking for a way to configure the DVBLink to get the XML from the VBox directly.
The VBox TV Gateway is also a web server and you can connect to it to view the xml file - by going the the XML link below
