Initial Setup Not Showing Channel

Postby valparra » Wed Jul 20, 2016 2:28 pm

Hi
I am the process of seting this up to my IPbox with enigma2 running and all seemed to go ok but l am not seeing the channels.
I have look at this and it seem to be the connection to my source.
I can see the source and l can see the favourites channels. When selecting a channel on the source it proceeds to open VLC but it is still blank

Any help appreciated as l am new to this
Regards

To investigate your issue we would need additional information from you.

Please set log level to extended info, restart DVBLink server, reproduce the issue (start playing with the VLC Player*), download and attach zipped DVBLink log files to this ticket.

*VLC player - install and launch the VLC player and press the combination Ctrl+N
- in the "Please, enter a Network URL" enter:http://ip-of-your-server:8100/mobile/?command=get_playlist_m3u
- start any channel
- go to monitoring tab is there a bitrate?

Hi
I completed the test you request and attached in the downloaded log file

When looking at VLC it shows the channel image. Looking at the moniotoring tab it seems to be cycling through the channels on the box and this will be what l see on VLC. The info is as below

IPboxStreams: 1Busy
Name Sink Bitrate Discontinuity Errors Packet
Eurosport 1 1 0 0 0 0
Bitrate
Errors

Kind regards

Hi

I now have this working and seems ok
I think the problem was one of lack of knowledge on the use of the DVBlink and lack of understanding how it works together with trying to select to many channels for my nas box

The only issue l seem to have is that l have saved 3 channels but can only view one at any one time. When viewing another channel that l have saved it has a screen "sorry all channels are occupied by other clients . I guess this is may be due to only haveing one tuner on my STB?
Thanks for your help. The use of the diagnostic screen and VLC link proved valuable knowledge

Yes, it is more hardware restriction - one tuner - one stream.
DVBlink supports a multi-transponders - means that if you have for instance USB tuner and use it with the TVSource - you may watch up to 8 channels simultaneously from one tuner but only channels from the same transponder(mux)

Hi

That information was interesting to read and has raised some further questions

My IPbox with Enigma has two tuner and l have been focused on one of the tuners as it was DVB-S2 but the box also has a DVB-T (running under Enigma) which l have now tried and found that the channel is not playing. If l was to install TV Source would that then play or does "TV Source" mean individual sources and my IPbox with 2 tuners count as 1. The thoughts about this are also related to what if l changes the DVB-T tuner to another DVB-S2

To be honest a bit confused with all questions ))
As i understand your box has DVB-S2 and the DVB-T tuners, is not it?
I do not remember for sure but if case of two tuners, you may try to add two Dreambox sources. And choose DVB-S2 channels from one source and DVB-T from another source.

Hi

Sorry for the confusion but you’re assumption was correct
I have a DVB-S2 Tuner and a DVB-T tuner in my IPbox and l have created 2 sources for the dreambox
On each source l selected different channels and they individually work however when selected together one freezes
I have tried these is different scenarios to try and resolve the issue myself by trying then at different port i.e. 8100 and 8200 but with no success
I also have a PLex link installed and tried to see if one stream on Plex and the other on Desktop with VLC

I have attached a download of the settings configured for extended info to see if you are able to help
Much appreciated
Regards

Is it possible to watch a few channels simultaneously form your IPbox at the native software. Just to be sure whether the IPbox supports a few streams at the same time.
