@Oberon, I see you made a very interesting comment here;

“Plex DVR, by the way, is built on top of DVBLink streaming stack:)”

Does this mean you now work for Plex or your primary product focus is now Plex DVR?

Its especially interesting to me as the patent issues around Grid based EPG have now been overcome and Plex is committing to a grid based EPG before the end of the year.
This was one of the main obstacles for me to using Plex for DVR.

@Oberon, can we expect a similar supported tuner list to the tuner list supported via dvblink?
Is it expected to provide the EPG on an additional subscription basis or is it likely part of a Plex subscription?
Are the dvblink products likely to co-exist with the Plex DRV product?
Are you the main developer of all things DVR in Plex?
Where should we be discussing Plex DVR specific wish lists for them to be picked up?

"Is Plex going to implement a grid view?

YES, we are planning to add a grid view! More than just planning, we expect it sometime in the next few months, before the end of the year (can't provide an exact date). That is our hope, though not guaranteed.
What's taken so long?

Grid view was covered by many patents and initially was shelved due to legal concerns. Thanks to feedback from users (and even employees), the point came where we had to figure a way to do this. I'm thrilled to write that we are now working on it!

Stay tuned!"

Plex DVR, although its streaming is based on DVBLink streaming, is and stays a separate product. We are not working for them.
As for grid interface - our new product will have it. I cannot comment on Plex here.

@Oberon

The recent version 6 update, is this the update you previously referred to, or is it an interim update.

It looks much the same as the old version, IPTV steam hang still remains, so i assume this isnt the major update you referred to?

not sure which list you are looking at , but there haven't been any significant changes on the product for months;
The changelist is here; viewtopic.php?f=55&t=31285
you'll see the last few builds have just been builds to support specific NAS devices, with no real changes.

We have been planning a beta end this year. It looks now like it will be mid-end Jan 2018.
