Playbook support or ported android client

Postby Howie1969 » Fri Mar 09, 2012 4:54 pm

Hello,

as far as i learned, the Playbook ( with OS 2.0) is not able to recieve the webstream with the "integrated" Webbrowser since there where
some missing "media-formats" that were not supported yet. :?

So questition from my side, since RIM offered a really quick way to port android software to Blackberrys ( they?re talking about minutes ) will there "within" the near future an
ported version of the android client ?
( Since OS2.0 of the playbook it is possible to have android software on the Playbook ).

Really looking forward for an hopefully positive feedback.

Kindest Regards

I'm interested to know too, however, I'm not hopeful because I know that there are some Android apps that can't be easily (maybe at all) ported to work on the Playbook.

Also interested in Playbook working with DVBLogic, the device is a nice form factor and has good internal hardware to drive the screen or external TV / monitor over HDMI

I do not think it is possible since we use Mono framework to write our apps.
