Connect Server on Linux?

Postby kevinherring » Fri Oct 07, 2011 11:53 am

Apologies if this is discussed somewhere else, but I have been unable to find it.

When will Connect Server v4 be released for Linux?

Thanks
Kevin

It is strange that this question remains unanswered.

One of the selling points of v4 was its ability to run on linux or embedded, what happened to it?

Thanks

Thanks Oberon, but let me ask it a different way:

I have a whole new home server build hanging on Connect Server for Linux. If I waited, say, a couple of months could I keep my all-linux build? Or am I just better biting the bullet now and investing time and money in WHS?

Thanks again

It's been nearly three years now, what's the status on this? I too need Connect! Server for my setup and would like to use Linux for my DVBLink server if possible.

Still can't find the Connect! Plugin. It's got the base server and TVSource, but not Connect.

It isn't though, and it's making the server quite worthless at the current time.

Because it seems to not be in the Linux server, the whole Connect! server does not install, any attempts to install it manually gives a corrupt file message.

Because you cannot use the Connect Server on this platform, Windows Media Center for example, will not pick up any channels.

You do not need to install a Connect Server for DVBLnk installation on linux, because all of its functionality is built into DVBLink Server installation on linux.
If you have a particular issue with DVBLink on linux - open a separate topic, describe issue in details and attach log files.
