Recording Issues

Postby grossr » Tue Jan 17, 2017 11:59 am

Hey,

Anyone having issues recording IPTV. I use a subscription based IPTV provider, RAPIDIPTV. EPG accurate and up-to-date. It seams that if I set a recording within 12 hours after my server has started, it records accurately. 2-3 days after the service has been running, I get varied results. I schedule a 1-1/2 hour recording from EPG and it will record 10-15 minutes, other times different, but it seems pretty consistent that it doesn't start and stop the recording at the exact scheduled times.

On another note, looking at the Diagnostics tab that if one of my clients (Kodi) disconnects w/o stopping the stream (Kodi/Workstation shutdown) without hitting the stop button on the playback bar, the session still shows active in DVBLink.

Any help will be appreciated.

Running Version: 6.0.0 Build: 13310 on Windows 2012 R2 server.

It would be nice to have a look at the log files with the reproduced issue and Info log level.

I'm having the same problem. Log file attached.

There should have been a recording at 19:00 - 19:30. However, upon playing the recording back i only see 4 minutes of recording available. I checked on the diagnostics tab and i could see the channel being streamed for the 30 minutes or so.

Here's the link to the log file, couldn't upload as its larger than 250kb

It looks like some issue with the firewall or anty-virus. Or even with the network.
May you watch the live TV? How it works?

PS. You may get a more trial at the info@dvblogic.com if you need so.

Adding a 'me too' to this

I had encountered this issue during the free trial and thought it was something that could be overcome with a support case - but it still happens. Regret buying the full package!

Its a lottery whether my recordings will complete correctly. Often I find that whilst I have set to record for an hour, the file length is only 2 or 3 minutes.

I hadn't managed to link the issue with how long the service has been running - I'll perhaps schedule a service restart each day and see if that sorts it.

It would be nice if you open a new topic and describe your issue in details with log files. (and if possible with your observation/troubleshooting etc. ) Very often issues which looks so similar has absolutely different reasons.
