Hello there,

I upgraded to version 4.1 and since than I get stuttering problems again.
Before I also had this effect on previous versions but upgrading solved that problem.

I also followed the procedure on previewing a channel in VLC with log level set to info.

Please find resulting logfile in attachement.

The problem is that often a channel blacks out while watching in 7MC.
It starts flashing and sometimes it solves itself in a few seconds.
Now and then I get the "weak signal" message.

VLC entirely stopped playing after playing for a minute or so.

My system is a ASRock ION 330.
Some weeks ago I also upgraded my video drivers.
Don't think this causes the problem because in the log file I see that the actual stream is stopped.

I already tried to increase service priority.
Didn't help.

Just tried to set the "use tcp streaming setting".
That seems to help.

Keep you posted.

Regards,

Jeroen

The stuttering / black out problem is reduced substantially with the "use tcp streaming setting" setting.

Question:
what is the impact of this setting?

Jeroen

It just does what it says:) - using tcp/ip streaming instead of udp. There is not really a substantial impact on anything and you may keep using it as long as you like. Theoretically tcp/ip streaming is a bit more cpu demanding.
