Registrations files & else

Postby TheMonster007 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 6:37 pm

Hi everyone!

I still have a problem on the 4.0.1 dvb version with the message, when creating an IPTV source : "Creation from template failed".

However, even with 4.0.1, the localhost port is still 39876 and I do not need to register again. I suppose it's not normal. It should be 8080!

I want to erase all files related to dvb to begin a new clean installation but the automatic desinstallation program do not seem to erase the registration and configuration files...

Thanks for your help!

the configuration port stays 39876. Port change to 8080 only has to do with the Connect! server.
To delet all previously installed DVBLink files just uninstall all dvblink products, reboot and delete previous DVBLink installation folder.

That's exactly what I've done and I do not need to register again. Is that normal?

What do you want to register?

What I mean is I do not have the trial period when I reinstall the software after a full cleaning. I have the full software without reintering the informations previously needed at first installation.

And you said the problem I described may come from registration. :)

It's ok. The registration information is persistent as long as you do not reinstall Windows itself.

All right.

So, I desperatly do not have any solution for the "Creation from template failed" message. I researched a long time without success.

The source seems to be created but the "Type" written is "Unknown" and it's impossible to configure channels, because of the source creation error.

Hope I'll see the solution here but after days, I do not understand. The 4.0.1 version was a hope... But no. :|

Thanks!

This is very strange. The new version should have reset the trial period for not registered versions and pick up already registered version. What does your registration info on about tab says?

The statut is ticked and when I leave the cursor on it, I have a "Ok"... :|

It seems to be simply well registred!

When you click on the product row - does it write your registration info below?

you can try using dvblinkrereg utility to re-enter your registration information:
http://www.dvblogic.com/download/Trunk/dvblinkrereg.exe

open administrative command line prompt and execute
dvblinkrereg.exe connect_server_info.dll
and
dvblinkrereg.exe dvblink_for_iptv_info.dll

end enter your registration information as written in your account on dvblogic license portal.

The dos-command has no reaction. It doesn't give any error but registration is still in place.

When I enter the command, I have a new line under the first one... But didn't seem to do anything.

Thanks a lot!

PS : I stopped the service before trying the command and started it again after.

EDIT : I have the same reaction when I put a file name that doesn't exists after my dvblinkrereg.exe...

EDIT2 : The Dos-command has been lunched in administrator mode.

Yes! It worked!

I had to put the file in common/product_info to get it work, as found on the forum.

Thanks a lot Oberon. The family's so happy! :D
