Then you just need to copy all recordings to a new HDD and change the path at the Recorder settings (set the new path as well), restart the server and in a 30 minutes dvblink should pick up all recordings from the new location(new HDD)

PS. The "Background check for deleted recordings" should be unchecked, otherwise your entries about completed recordings will be erased

Well this simply does not work. I have tried, believe me.

Link to the entire directory https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akz3h_eK2R70grtorsNJs0SrhxkmXg

The database currently lists 5 recordings. Before it was wiped there were 394 recordings which is also the actual number of files in the recording location.

When I notice a fuckup from the database when a new dlrecorder.db is created, i use sqlitecompare to merge the two databases.
Works easy and flawlessly and includeds all program info, when you select the database rows to merge.

Remember to stop the DVBLink service when doing that. Keep in mind that I never use the setting for "Background check for deleted recordings", because I prefer to delete recordings from the DVBLink frontend, preventing database fuckups.

I too lost a lot of recording info from the past quite a while back, when I noticed it too late and didn't know how to solve it.

Hi all,
I struggled a lot of my time with the DVBLink problem to match the recorded TV entries in dlrecoder.db according the recorded files in the file system. Unfortunately there is no way to fix the problem manually w/o data base SQL knowledge’s. BUT all information is available! The recorded files with time and date are in the file system and the metafile information is in the dlrecorder.db or in backup files. So to fix the problem we need an app which
1. Looks at the file system to identify a record
2. Seach the according entry in one of the dlrecorder.db files
3. Copy this entry in a new dlrecorder.db file or in case of “not found” makes an empty entry
4. Takes the next recoded file and begin in line 3.
The result is a dlrecorder.db file which includes all entries according the file system, perhaps sometimes w/o meta data, so what.
This need to be an separate app, or the dbrecorder.db must be stopped during the process.
I am not a programming guy, but from my point of view this program should not be very complex and helps a lot of people. Please let me know, if I am wrong.
