Tuner Conflict: All TV tuners are currently in use

Postby lujo » Fri Jan 25, 2013 3:05 pm

I am still getting this (for me) very annoying problem. I hope Oberon you will give me your best effort to solve this once and for all.

TBS6922 (driver 1.0.1.4) on WHS server (Only one tuner)
Windows 7 x64 and x86 clients
TVSource 4.5.2
Motorized dish: Moteck 2100A, Triax 78cm with Edison LNB [Tesla was smarter ;-)]

Changing between channels on 13.0E and 19.2E (both FTA)

HRT 1 --> 13.0E 12520.00 V DVB-S QPSK 27500 3/4 http://nl.kingofsat.net/find.php?question=hrt
RTS Sat --> 19.2E 11023.25 H DVB-S QPSK 22000 5/6 http://nl.kingofsat.net/find.php?question=rts

HRT 1 --> RTS Sat gives the same problem as RTS Sat --> HRT 1

It takes 7 seconds for dish to move from 13.0E to 19.2E and vice versa.
Between changing channel to the message "Tuner Conflict: All TV tuners...." it takes 31 seconds.
Between message "Tuner Conflict: All TV tuners...." and getting picture on tv takes 5 seconds.
The whole proces between changing channel to get the picture takes 36 seconds (31+5).

25-01-2013 from +/- 14:30 till +/- 14:35 I have tried couple times to change between those channels.

Can you tell me what is happening and is there anything that I can do to help you to solve this problem?
Do you want me to try another DVB application and tell you results?

When I am trying to change between those channels webbased (VLC) I get Internal Error after 31 seconds.

Both images are the same for switching to HRT 1

I also added the latest log:

Second try gives me this result:

Another example:

HRT 1 --> 13.0E 12520.00 V DVB-S QPSK 27500 3/4 http://nl.kingofsat.net/find.php?question=hrt
RTS Sat --> 19.2E 11023.25 H DVB-S QPSK 22000 5/6 http://nl.kingofsat.net/find.php?question=rts
OTV Valentino --> 16.0E 11366.00 V DVB-S QPSK 30000 3/4 http://nl.kingofsat.net/find.php?question=OTV+valentino

From satellite to satellite (moving dish):
19.2E --> 16.0E = 4 seconds
13.0E --> 16.0E = 4 seconds

RTS Sat --> OTV Valentino = no problem
OTV Valentino --> RTS Sat = no problem

HRT 1 --> OTV Valentino = It takes 31 seconds to get message "Tuner Conflict: All TV tuners...." and this message stays on screen. There is no picture from the channel at all. First, second, third and so on time gives me Internal Error when I use: http://192.168.1.100:39876/c/sources/tv ... =TBS_6922#
OTV Valentino --> HRT 1 = no problem

This behaviour drives me crazy. There are more examples but I want to keep it simple with one or two examples just to be clear.

Oberon, which satellites are you receiving? Maybe that I can try to find channels on those satellites which are not working.

At this point I don't know if I should blame TVSource for this behaviour or TBS hardware/driver. What do you think?

Again, latest logfile:

stop dvblink server, delete dvblink_server.log, start dvblink server, make a switch HRT 1 --> OTV Valentino and attach the zipped log files here.

Oberon, is there anything that you can say at this moment about this problem?

This are the options that I can do to make it easier for you to solve the problem:

1. Use one old Digital Everywhere FloppyDTV v1.02 dvb-s (no HD) tuner with 4.5.2 to exclude that is the problem of TBS hardware/driver.
2. Use another dvb application (client-server) and tell you the results.
3. Go back to 3.2.2 and use TBS and Digital Everywhere FloppyDTV v1.02 dvb-s tuner and send you logfile.

Which option do you prefer?

When switching HRT 1 --> OTV there is no stream coming in on a new channel. Unfortunately it is unclear why this happens. Maybe dish does not rotate fully into the position? If you wait for a couple of minutes and the try watching again OTV will this work (I assume that dish will not move in this case because it should be already in position)?

Other than that I do not have any suggestions unfortunately on how to solve the issue.

I have tried many times switching between HRT 1--> OTV and vice versa. And every time dish is moving between satellites, that is really no problem. When switching RTS Sat --> OTV dish is also moving and I will get picture.
This behaviour is very strange..... and this is really a problem for me. We are now talking about switching between two channels but there are more different "switches" which are also not working.

I have tried another client-server application and will send you PM about that.

I have done some testing last night and my findings are that all my problems are caused by poor implementation of DiSEqC 1.2 protocol and bugs in TVSource.
I will open new thread about DiSEqC 1.2 problems and bugs in TVSource.

Do not feel attacked, I just want to solve this problem and will do everything that is in my power to help you solving it.
