DVBLink TVSource is discussed here!

so this is why my media centre keeps failing

Postby tre4bax » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:55 pm

searching the event logs on my computer I found an awful lot of these. It would seem to explain why my media centre is failing.

Faulting application name: dvblink_server.exe, version: 4.1.0.0, time stamp: 0x4ee10068
Faulting module name: DVBLogicCPPPlugin.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4f3820a2
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00001578
Faulting process id: 0x534
Faulting application start time: 0x01cd470eee1c16cf
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBLogic\DVBLink\dvblink_server.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBLogic\DVBLink\sources\BGDVBS1\epg\DVBLogicCPPPlugin.dll
Report Id: 4a7302a6-b453-11e1-a487-20cf30a42354

So I suppose this means I'm better to go back to native media centre but that is a real shame. If someone has any ideas of why this is happening I would love to fix it if pssible.

Ah thanks for the pointer, I had not noticed this was the pluggin to EPGCollector. This might make sense because one tuner in my tuner card is giving really low signals. If epgcollector is getting corrupted data because of this it could be what is blowing me out. I'll check the other DVBServer errors to see if they are always because of the pluggin.

Are you using EPG from the stream, collected by DVBLink's EIT scanner? If not you can try disabling the EPG scan for it in TVSource configuration for all tuners and see if it helps. Also try disabling EPGCollector and check the server stability.

I removed EPGCollector, and all the Pluggin DLLS and set up DVBGuide to dump into a text file and now it has been up and running fine for three days. With the slight exception of the reception issues I am getting because my TV card appears to have a week tuner.

Seems that it was all caused by the EPG Collector or the pluggin.
