Do I understand correctly that TV Source 4.5.2 doesn't work with MediaPortal 1.3.0 Beta?

I was planning to change from WMC to Mediaportal because of the lack of development from Microsoft. But as I read this, I don't think it is a very good idea yet.

Oberon did make a XBMC plugin, but why no Mediaportal Plugin? As Mediaportal has a better Live-TV section than XBMC?!

Same problem here, with dvblink 4.5.2 you can't get it working with MediaPortal IPTV, keeps saying that channels are scrambled.

But.. I have found some nasty woraround like it seems :)

Open up the channel that isn't working, edit the settings and fill in PMT PID of working FTA channel...
Voila, you can watch TV :-)

I finally got this working with DVBlinkConnect2M3U.zip and when changing PID to 262 on all channels, and FTA them.

BUT - the channel change times are looooong, approx 5-6 sec.
Is this what I can expect, on WMC it is below 1 sec.

Could some confirm this ??

Hi marcelveldt

The slow changes isn't due to MP, if I use TV-service in MP, change time is app. 1 sec. for SD and 2 sec. for HD .
The reason why I tried DVB Link is that TV-server isn't stable with softcam, this means I have to start live TV 2-3 times before it comes up, and some of the recordings wont start in MP (but it can play in VLC if I skip the first 2-3 min).

But thanks for your replay anyway :-)

It got it running with DVBlink v5.0 and OctopusNet with one Tuner.
The Streaming Port is 8101.

Unfortunatly i didn't get running with more than one tuner.

http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?cl ... nel........
http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?cl ... nnel=......

Both URL work fine if they are mapped on their mediportal IPTV Card.
If I combine the mappings everytime http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?cl ... ........is taken
and the first stream die.
The Mediaportal replies that this is not possible .
....Unfortunately you can't do that. When you combine the channels TV Server loses the mapping for each tuner. Each of the combined channels will have two tuning details - one from each of the original uncombined channels. TV Server will think it can use either/both of the tuning details to tune with any of the mapped tuners. To say it another way: each tuner that is mapped to a combined channel must be able to tune all of the tuning details....

Anybody another idea how I can achieve multiple Tuners with OctopusNet and Mediaportal. Or have anybody it running ?
DVBlink for IPTV is not a solution as there is no support for mdapi afaik.

Thanks.

Hi
I got the dvblink ip tuner card (DVBlink 5.0 is on an synology ds 213j NAS) working in mediaportal 1.9 with these steps:

1. activate ssh (or command line interface) on the synolgy: http://forum.synology.com/wiki/index.ph ... _Interface
2. Copy the dvblink_channel_storage.xml to a place where it is accesable via putty (e.g., login with admin and your adminstrator password of the synology) for example with this command:
cp /volume1/@appstore/DVBLinkServer/dvblink_channel_storage.xml /volume1/DVBLink, than the file can be found in the DVBLInk folder on the nas
3. use DVBLink2m3u.vbs from the first post
4. check the generated m3u file for the correct ports/style:

This style worked for me:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,3sat
http://192.168.1.2:8101/dvblink/direct? ... l=10630000
#EXTINF:0,Al Jazeera International
http://192.168.1.2:8101/dvblink/direct? ... l=10540000
#EXTINF:0,arte
http://192.168.1.2:8101/dvblink/direct? ... l=10440000

Ports used by dvblink can be found here: http://dvblogic.com/wiki/index.php/How_ ... erver_uses

You can check one of the links in your browser (copy and paste eg: http://192.168.1.2:8101/dvblink/direct? ... l=10540000) if you get a tv chanell playing, it also should work in mediaportal.

5. Activate an dvbip card in Mediaportal tv server and select the scannaning parameters file generated before (from the (perhaps manually changed because of the ports) vbs script)
6. And scan for channels.
7. Check in Tv server if all channels are green, than they should be accseable /watchable inside Mediaportal.

Thanks for the script and all the tips in this thread!
